Congratulations, Brides to Be

Big congratulations to Kieren and BW who are signing up to get hitched! Life is full of twists and turns but sometimes it turns out just the way it was meant to. I love happy endings:)

Certificate of Inequality

If we can't get a marriage license, we might as well get one of these. ;)

Be my Valentine

It's been awhile since I've posted to our blog. I typed the URL this morning to see if Wen has had much to say (her writing is much more prolific than mine) and alas, up popped the page, complete with her wit and humor. I noticed, however, that my name was missing as a contributor. Funny. Could I have possibly been booted off Blogger for not blogging? Is my fiance enjoying the single life again and she failed to inform me? Nope. Seems Blogger went through some updates awhile back and since I obviously failed to comply with their new account requirements, my name was removed from the blog. Not to worry though... I'm back:)

Happy early Valentine's Day to everyone! We will be celebrating ours tonight with yummy food and much amore'. Love is in the air and what's so wrong with that? (I love you Wendy!)

It's in the Water...

My work colleagues have been busy getting engaged (and married), too. A. is the "old married one" now, having been at it for about 6 months. ;) Then there is the other A. Let's call her A2. She managed to elope over the holidays back East.

Five other couples are currently engaged: me, J2, D & J, K, and L. (D & J both work here). Now, before you think this is no big thing, this is MOST of the folks who do the same job I do.

People with the same job as I have (in this office): 9, sometimes 10.
People engaged: 6 (one doesn't do the same job I do, but is engaged to someone who does.)
Recently married: 2.

So, what's a company to do?

Throw an engagement and recently married party, that's what. We're all invited over to our boss's house in a week or so for some festivities. How's that for cool?

Oh and btw, one of the other couples is a gay male couple...

honey-moonin'

The QM2 is in San Francisco! Wow. Unfortunately, Tara and I have been SO sick these past couple weeks that we had no idea it was to be in SF, and also no strength to get there. (Not to mention that it'd have been cold hanging out on the bridge.) But still. The QM2! Here! In our beloved SF!

Our dream honeymoon is to sail in an exterior cabin on the QM2 to the UK (during a ballroom dance camp--yes, they have them periodically), where we'd sightsee and uhm, eat. Then we'd go over to France where we'd see more stuff and continue eating. And drinking wine. If time allowed, we'd eat our way through Italy as well, taking in the sights as we went from gelato stand to gelato stand.
